Make sure you check out the gig updates this month, as well as Bad Influence there's an Xcom gig and Thunder play Childline Rocks which has a not-to-be-missed lineup.
Also this month, Don Airey’s album “A Light In The Sky” is due for release on 22nd February, featuring Harry on drums (on 3 songs), the one and only Chris Childs on bass (3 tracks). The line-up of rock vocalists includes one Danny Bowes (you might know him, he's not bad) but they will all pale into comparison when Harry opens his pipes and lets rip with a stunning lead vocal on a track called "Rocket to the Moon". Oh yes, pre-order it now...
18th October 2007
Rumour has it that our Harry might be heading oop north in the very near future to start work on a third Shadowman album... nice! Watch this space for more details.

Magnum, Manchester Academy 2, 23/05/07. nc, nc's dad and dtm loved Magnum, had a few birthday drinks then got turfed out by a security man (how rude!). But he couldn't defeat my evil powers and it was all alright in the end.
12th September 2006
Harry's busy with quite a few bits and bobs, check out the tourdates page for more information and the (stop press) updated pictures page (wahey!) for some related visual delights.
Keep em peeled when you're flicking through Classic Rock as you might see a familiar figure painted up Henry Rollins stylee. Don't think about it too deeply (you'll go mad) just revel in the build-up to the Thunder tour in November and the excitement of the brand new forthcoming Thunder album - Robert Johnson's Tombstone. Click here for full details, sound clips and release info malarky. Lovely.
22nd August 2006
Harry and Chris are to play a special one off acoustic show with good friends Al Vosper (Chris de Burgh band) and Ray Brown (Illegal Eagles) on Wednesday 4th October at Riga Music Bar in Southend. A CD is planned to commemorate the show. For more details go to www.rigamusicba r.co.uk

It all went a bit Spinal Tap at a recent Bad Influence gig - no really! David Kaff, who played "Viv Savage" the keyboard player in the legendary This is Spinal Tap, has been popping along to see the odd Bad Influence show during visits to London from California, which was nice.
Right click here to save a video message to the world from Viv Savage of Spinal Tap - BLIMEY! (6mb file, might take a bit to download)
11th June 2006 AN EXCLUSIVE UPDATE FROM HARRY...
Hello you?
Thought I'd say a few words at this very exciting time. The World Cup Finals have started, a new Thunder album is being recorded, and the weather is currently blisteringly hot. I'm a very happy chappy! Lots of stuff been going on including a triumphant return for Thunder to the "Monsters of Rock" at the Milton Keynes Bowl-it was truly a great day for me and the chaps. Fantastic gig and gave me the chance to dress up in my England kit. You may be interested to know (or not) that my England shirt is being auctioned for charity at the forthcoming Gransden Blues and Soul festival on 1st July. It has not been washed so sorry about that!! Bit smelly! I will be appearing there with Don Airey and there'll be some special guest appearances. It will be fabulous!!
Dates are confirmed for Thunder in November which is all very exciting and a new release is due around that time. The new CD is sounding bloody marvellous even at this stage and Thunder fans will not be disappointed. There'll be a DVD release just before then which was shot in Japan when we visited in February 2006. I've watched it a few times now, and it has some great musical moments-it is also incredibly funny. You have to see it!
At the end of March 06, I was asked to play in the Ian Gillan Band. It was indeed an honour to be asked and to play in such a great band, for a great cause, and at the infamous Royal Albert Hall. Highlight of the set for me was to play "Black Night" with Ian and Roger Glover. Fabulous bass player and a very nice man indeed, as is Ian Gillan. I grew up listening to Deep Purple as a small boy (jumpers for goalposts) so it was a special occasion for me.
I have a new drum kit and I had a host of people commenting on how great it sounded and looked. It was supplied by the good people at Pearl and I'm over the moon!!
There's more gigs coming up with Bad Influence and Magnum are set to record their next studio album-more news as and when I know what's going on?? I am also making an appearance at The Henley Regatta Ball with my old mucker Dave "Bucket" Colwell at the end of June-that'll be a bit of a hoot....what? Pass the Pims...
I could go on but I won't..
Cheers
Harry
2nd May 2006
Here's a pic (© George Chin) of Harry playing nicely with the other boys at the Royal Albert Hall. The gig night was a huge success with the Royal Albert Hall sold out in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. Harry performed with Ian Gillan and his friends Roget Glover, Dean Howard, Steve Morris (Shadowman), Michael Lee Jackson, Richard Cottle and Sim Jones. Most of the band appears on Ian Gillan's new CD "Gillans Inn" due for release any day now.
8th March 2006
Gigs page updated with details of a special gig at the Royal Albert Hall, a tribute night for Tommy Vance in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust on 31st March 2006. Harry will appear with Ian Gillan and Friends. (I can't make it waaaaah - nc).
Another announcement this week, the eagerley awaited release of the second Shadowman album. "Different Angles" will be available on 17th March 2006. Shadowman features Steve Overland (FM) on lead vocals, Steve Morris (Heartland) on guitars and two lovely gentlemen called Harry and Chris on drums and bass (wahey!). And they must've done alright, this from a shiny review of the album at rockunited.com
"...they show their claws halfway through the
album in the song "In the Shadows" that is one of the highlights of the
album with a thick drum-bass groove to drive the entire track"

Some updates on the
Gigs
page, Thunder Norwich date rescheduled and Bad Influence gigs in March.
How
much fun was Manchester? Friday 3rd Feb 2006, best Thunder gig for ages
(and they weren't bad before!!). Full house, top form and a brilliant
setlist. Me, Dad and Dan were up for a bit of a session (no easy task
at the packed Academy bar) and after a few vodkas nc came out to play!
We said "alright love" to Harry and
Dad got Harry's autograph for mother of nc...
...it was that kind of evening, very funny indeed. All topped off with
a bit of rock celebrity spotting ("Who's that big bald bloke Claire?"
erm duh "It's Fish from Marillion Dad!") and Dan got to meet
Toby Jepson.

Harry has been oop North this week at the studio
in Runcorn recording the new Shadowman album with Steve Morris, Steve
Overland and our Chris Childs. Everyone is very pleased with the recording
and I can't wait for it to be released - watch this space! (mental note
for nc - don't get tiddly with drummers in Runcorn again on a school
night). We also had a very rock n roll conversation about Flash Wipes
but that would just be too much excitement for one update!
This
month Harry is featured in Drummer

Oh no! Due to Mr Bowes being poorly, the last
UK date of the Thunder tour and the European dates have all had to be
re-arranged - bit of a scheduling nightmare for our H. The biggest nightmare
being a clash with the Magnum tour so now Harry can't go out and play
with the Magnum boys in April (I'm gutted and Father of nc is even more
gutted!). Magnum have a stand in drummer for the tour (visit
their website for full details). Harry is really really really disappointed
and is sorry for any inconvenience caused, there's just no other way
round this one. Boo sob wah. You'd better have a look at the tours
page, there's been a few changes.

Here's a pic from Harry's trip oop north (REALLY
north, bonnie Scotland!). From left to right, it's our Chris Childs,

in Scotland (Don and Keith are big fans!).

December 2004
Ooooh it's all go here! Much excitement last
week when Thunder entered the UK Top 40 (on BBC Radio One and everything!)
at number 27 with the fantastic single "I Love You More than Rock
and Roll". This was an amazing achievement down to the band obviously
being rather smashing but also thanks to a good dose of fan power. Brilliant!
Harry's
reported in this week that he's a very busy boy. Toudates lin ed
up with Magnum and Thunder for 2005 (check out the gigs
page), preparation for the (sold out!) Thunder Christmas Party,
a live DVD in the pipeline with Magnum and out and about gigging with
Bad Influence (you lucky Southern people!) who are also working on their
next studio album. Also a big hello to all the new faces he met on the
recent arena tour with Deep Purple. This tour converted even more fans
to the Thunder camp and was a huge success overall. Hopefully every
one has recovered by now (I've almost got rid of my cheshire cat style
grin!).
I
might put a festive picture on the front page but I'm totally not wishing
anyone happy christmas yet. Grrrr.
